Before each flight, our teams obtain highly detailed weather forecasts
from established meteorological centres such as Bracknell and Bristol,
which are cross-referenced with other as well as other, equally detailed,
forecasts from other sources. These forecasts are extremely accurate
over the short time that we intend to be in the air, helping us to
ensure that we will not experience any deterioration in the weather
during the flight.
The air, particularly just above the surface, is calmest just
after sunrise and just before sunset. Between these times, the
sun warms the ground setting up unstable air movements called thermals.
The reason balloons do not fly during the middle of the day is
simply that we wish to avoid this thermal activity.

"We just wanted to say a very big 'Thank You' for a wonderful flight Sunday morning!! My fear of heights evaporated the minute we were airborne. We enjoyed every moment - from "helping" with the assembly of the balloon, the flight and dismantling of the balloon. Also the champagne & quiche, and the Certificates, afterwards completed this very memorable experience. Everyone from you and your colleagues and the rest of the other passengers just made it a fantastic morning!"
